What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: Depression / Despair
Where would you like to live?: Vermont
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: To hang out with people I like / love
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: Too intense
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones, and Wolverine
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Alcibiades, "Like a lion!"
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: Crystal and Ariel Zevon
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: Juno (the pregnant kid, not the goddess)
Your favorite painter?: Chawky Frenn. I haven't met too many painters, but he's a nice fellow. Talented, too.
Your favorite musician?: Warren Zevon
The quality you most admire in a man?: Good humor, honesty, and compassion, in that order.
The quality you most admire in a woman?: Same.
Your favorite virtue?: The ability to cook good food.
Your favorite occupation?: Cavorting
Who would you have liked to be?: I think I like being myself just fine, thanks.
Your most marked characteristic?: Nowadays, overwhelming intensity
What do you most value in your friends?: Trust and honesty
What is your principle defect?: Being able to keep up with everyone all the time
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?: Not being able to prevent a friend's suicide
What would you like to be?: A better person
What is your favorite color?: Blue
What is your favorite flower?: Not wild about any of them.
What is your favorite bird?: Probably owls or falcons. Maybe a seagull.
Who are your favorite prose writers?: Crystal Zevon and Richard Bach
Who are your favorite poets?: Virgil, Leonard Cohen, and Greg Luce
Who are your heroes in real life?: Crystal and Ariel Zevon, Larry Porges, Sanaa Akkach, and Thomas Stanley. Each of them saved my life.
Who are your favorite heroines of history?: Joan of Arc and Rosa Parks. Don't know too many others.
What are your favorite names?: Augustus, Max, Jack, and Rudyard
What is it you most dislike?: Fruit. And Negative energy. In that order.
What historical figures do you most despise?: Probably Hitler. Maybe Stalin
What event in military history do you most admire?: I dunno.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?: Instant sleep
How would you like to die?: I wouldn't like to die this time around, thanks.
What is your present state of mind?: A bit tired but overstimulated from too much chocolate before bed.
What is your motto?: You can call me (Al). I may not always answer, though.
