- What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
- I'm pretty certain its already here
- Where would you like to live?
- On my own island
- What is your idea of earthly happiness?
- Something between here and there and then
- To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
- The incapacity to express love or any other such feeling. Feeling in general.
- Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
- Can't say much of what I've read is fiction-Joan Didion, Chris Kraus and the like. But perhaps the cat in The Master and Margarita.
- Who are your favorite characters in history?
- All the Egyptian queens. In fact, all the Queens, Boudicca, Elizabeth, Lileth...
- Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
- Every single woman I have the extraordinary pleasure of calling my friend
- Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
- All the chicks in As You Like It. They either played the part of a man to get what they so desired or they played the fool to achieve the same thing. Either way they did it and they did it with passion, humour and credibility-more so than I have done.

- Modigliani

- Bowie
- The quality you most admire in a man?
- The ability to adhere to the 'look don't touch' rule

- Intelligence
- Your favorite virtue?
- None of them. Except perhaps manners, but they should be a given.
- Your favorite occupation?
- Being in water, champagne and drawing.
- Who would you have liked to be?
- Better
- Your most marked characteristic?
- An intolerance for no one.

- Loyalty.
- What is your principle defect?
- My heartlessness, craving for solidarity and inability to get on with 'it'.

- Regret

- Myself at its best but perhaps most importantly, myself at its worst.

- Green

- Calla Lilly

- Joan Didion, Miranda July, Oscar Wilde and Stephen Hawking.

- Ginsberg-the only poet I know.

- Apparently this calls for a different answer to that of my "favourite hero". The answer remains the same.

- Whomsoever I convince myself I love at the time, I suppose right now, Johnny. But there have been many. Same as Proust, "only one at a time".
- What is it you most dislike?
- Letting myself take in and into effect the thoughts and words of others.
- What historical figures do you most despise?
- Hitler.
- What event in military history do you most admire?
- Any defeat on our side and that whole football match on christmas day thing.
- What natural gift would you most like to possess?
- A more useful mental illness.
- How would you like to die?
- Of my own accord.
- What is your present state of mind?
- Drunk.

- There are a few but I'm not sure I believe in any of them.
