Where would you like to live?: someplace scenic, isolated, and extrinsic yet culturally rich
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: to be surrounded by exquisite, unconventional beauty in all of its forms
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: my own insecurities
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: stephen dedalus is the first that comes to mind
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Hypatia, Gertrude Stein
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: someone of substantial depth who is not afraid to redefine heteronormative stereotypes
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: Rosalind from As you Like It and Atalanta (does mythology count as fiction?)
Your favorite painter?: Degas
Your favorite musician?: Bowie, Duke Ellington.
The quality you most admire in a man?: intellect, a sense of escapism
The quality you most admire in a woman?: independence, open-mindedness, a sense of humor

Your favorite occupation?: okay, honestly, exactly what Proust said.
Who would you have liked to be?: a better version of myself, or, myself but in a different time.
Your most marked characteristic?: I would hope it be be intelligence, but it is more likely my state of being in constant existential crisis
What do you most value in your friends?: loyalty, intrepidness, diversity
What is your principle defect?: perpetually expecting more from reality than it has to offer
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?: to live a life in which one's true self is restricted, or worse, never known.
What would you like to be?: an artist and a muse, simultaneously. but that is usually how it works anyway.

Who are your heroes in real life?: anyone who is passionate, innovative, and congenial. also, all animals
What are your favorite names?: improper nouns?
What is it you most dislike?: stupidity, monotony, ignorance, insipidness
What historical figures do you most despise?: those fueled by hatred, corruption, and obtuseness
What event in military history do you most admire?: i cannot admire much about war. I would like to have been in the trojan horse though, just for the ride.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?: friendliness, the ability to interact with other human beings without feeling overwhelmed, self-righteous, or insecure
How would you like to die?: fulfilled...and on my own terms... disappearing maybe, into the ocean
What is your present state of mind?: hopeful confusion, as always. I'm also surprised at how fast I answered these, and frustrated that my spelling is so terrible
What is your motto?: Nietzsche said something like "one must have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star."

you know, I apologize if my diction and such is similar to that of Proust. It is hard to articulate my own answers after reading those of such an eloquent and comprehensible genius, especially because I generally and sometimes specifically agree with much of what he has written.
