What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Realising I am minutes away from death.
Where would you like to live?
In my ideal, already paid for home.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
A loving group of friends and family, passion and interest in various areas of life, a balance between relaxing and activity, mentally and physically happy and wealthy.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
Being too self centred.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
The ones who don't seem too far removed from myself, are better, but not to the point where I feel jealous.
Who are your favorite characters in history?
If no one has immediately come to my mind then I would be a phony if I answered this. I am too self centred.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
Yo, same as Proust. Good answer.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
Hermione Granger probably tbh.
Your favorite painter?
Hopper.
Your favorite musician?
Can't choose just one. David Bowie just died and his death was possibly the most beautiful piece of art ever so he deserves some credit, though not a personal favourite.
The quality you most admire in a man?
Intelligence, sense of interest, humour.
The quality you most admire in a woman?
Strength, intelligence, is whoever she wants to be.
Your favorite virtue?
Intelligent compassion.
Your favorite occupation?
Listening to music.
Who would you have liked to be?
Just a better version of myself.
Your most marked characteristic?
Obsessively thinking I'm going to die.
What do you most value in your friends?
Interest in things, a desire to be friends with me for reasons other than wanting to hang out with someone.
What is your principle defect?
The thought that I am somewhat different, exempt. The thought that maybe I won't have to work until I die like everyone else.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Not having discovered my music.
What would you like to be?
Myself, basically exactly what Proust said, but how I'd like to be. Mentally, physically happy and healthy.
What is your favorite color?
It depends on what context, dark colours for clothes, but I love yellow buttercups in green grass, and blue skies and seas.
What is your favorite flower?
Forget me nots, maybe bleeding hearts. I like wildflowers bunched together. Also like hedge parsley.
What is your favorite bird?
The wren, even though I think I only briefly saw one once.
Who are your favorite prose writers?
I don't read enough and feel like a hypocrite answering this.
Who are your favorite poets?
Probably Pablo Neruda... for consistency and for making me feel emotions with no effort because I'm lazy and dumb.
Who are your heroes in real life?
I don't have any.
Who are your favorite heroines of history?
Basically every woman who had to put up with living in an awfully sexist, boring time with no other options than marrying and having children.
What are your favorite names?
Liam, if we're talking about the big picture surrounding the name. But just a name, I've always liked Agatha, and Aggie even though everyone else thinks it's ugly. It reminds me of amethysts.
What is it you most dislike?
The way the world is set up. It's all wrong.
What historical figures do you most despise?
Hitler is obvious, but there have been thousands more like him who are just less known.
What event in military history do you most admire?
The D-Day invasion.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
The ability to get with the right people to be successful, to be in the right place at the right time.
How would you like to die?
Never, or very old, with no pain, and being unaware of it happening, preferably not because of a being senile, but because of being asleep or drunk.
What is your present state of mind?
Terrified, because I now feel too self aware, and have no idea where my life is going, and always convinced there is something wrong with me.
What is your motto?
bruh
