What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
To live the same life as my parents, which means to get up and do the same thing every single day of my life.
Where would you like to live?
Anywhere but my hometown of Lois, Virginia. I've only left Lois once.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
To be able to go wherever I want and see things I've never seen before. I want to travel the world and have adventures.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
To the naivete of kind hearted people who only see the best on others. People like my friend Bekah.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
Spider Man. I like heroes who do great things but don't get the credit for doing them.
Who are your favorite characters in history?
Lewis and Clark, the great American explorers.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
My mother who is the strongest woman I know, and the most honest.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
I like the female characters who are supposed to be the ugly best friend because they usually have more personality than the female leads, and they're rarely actually ugly.
Your favorite painter?
Bob Ross because I love happy little trees.
Your favorite musician?
Phosphorescent because Matthew Houck is a soulful genius.
The quality you most admire in a man?
I admire a man of action above a man of words.
The quality you most admire in a woman?
I admire a woman who listens.
Your favorite virtue?
Honesty. It doesn't cost a damn penny to tell the truth, most of the time.
Your favorite occupation?
Planning my life when I leave Lois, Virginia. Cooking.
Who would you have liked to be?
I wish I had been a nomad, maybe a Mongolian who hunts with an eagle.

A soul crushing sense of duty.

Being responsible for ruining someone else's life with your bad decision.

I would like to be somebody important, rather than someone insignificant.

Anything but blue.

A cheap carnation, dipped in green dye.

A falcon.

Emily Dickinson. She didn't get out much.

My mother, for putting up with me and dad.

Princess Diana because she was a regular person who became princess, and she treated people with dignity.

My name is embarassing. Normal names, I guess. Steve?
What is it you most dislike?
Irresponsibility. People refusing to take responsibility for their actions.
What historical figures do you most despise?
I hate Hitler. The world would have been better off without him, obviously.
What event in military history do you most admire?
The sacrifice made by one of my high school friends in Iraq. He gave his life to save other people, civilians not military.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
Big muscles...

Doing something adventurous, like climbing Everest.

Worried about work.
