What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: To be stripped of freedom and dignity.
Where would you like to live?: Somewhere I could be surrounded by intelligent people. Also, the country.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: To have the necessities of living as well as a few close friends, many books, a small house by the sea, and as much writing or drawing material as I'll ever use.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: Pride and laziness.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: Morally ambiguous ones who express our own internal conflict.
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Socrates, Joan of Arc, Queen Elizabeth I, William Shakespeare, and Charlotte Bronte.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: Independent, intelligent women with firey spirit.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: Those who face more than anyone should have to and yet rise above it.
Your favorite painter?: Anyone who can capture multiple feelings in one image.
Your favorite musician?: John Williams
The quality you most admire in a man?: Intelligence and a sense of humor and adventure.
The quality you most admire in a woman?: Exactly the same qualities that I admire in men.

Your favorite occupation?: Reading and connecting with nature.
Who would you have liked to be?: Myself, only set back in the past.
Your most marked characteristic?: My outspoken intelligence that both alienates and earns me friends.
What do you most value in your friends?: Loyalty, intelligence, a good sense of fun and tact.
What is your principle defect?: Stubbornness and a quick temper.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?: To never have known my mother and to have stayed homeschooled rather than switched to public school.

Who are your heroes in real life?: My mother.
Who are your favorite heroines of history?: Joan of Arc, and anyone who challenged their traditional submissive role.
What are your favorite names?: Francesca, William, Nathaniel, Willow, Lily, and Alexander.
What is it you most dislike?: Greed and stupidity.
What historical figures do you most despise?: Hitler, as well as anyone else who ever killed masses of people.
What event in military history do you most admire?: Any treaties of peace that were effectively carried out.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?: Persuasion and unwavering determinaton.
How would you like to die?: Of natural causes and without regrets.
What is your present state of mind?: Interested and thoughtful, since I am being given a chance to get to know myself better.
What is your motto?: 'It doesn't matter what others think', closely followed by 'carpe diem'. Both cliche but true and helpful.
