What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: Not being able to live with oneself
Where would you like to live?: In a wild, deserted, bad-weathered environment.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: A life without work, where time would be used to gain learning

Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: Those of psychological strength
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Very few decent people have marked history
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: Women who don't think being a woman means they have to prove anything to anyone

Your favorite painter?: I'm not into that type of art
Your favorite musician?: Anything that can stand the test of time and isn't classical music
The quality you most admire in a man?: Intelligence and moral principles he's ready to stand by

Who would you have liked to be?: I don't think I could bear being anybody but myself

What event in military history do you most admire?: Those where who won matters less than the moral reasons for the fight itself
