What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: To be alone forever, with no hope of interaction or close contact with others.
Where would you like to live?: Someplace warm and beautiful. Or just New York City.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: Living with or being close to my friends and family; great music, movies, and books; having someone to discuss those things with and go on adventures with; and a warm bathrobe to come home to
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: The Internet, and sugar.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: Larry Darrell from The Razor's Edge, Levin from Anna Karenina, Special Agent Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks, Tony Leung in anything, Humphrey Bogart in anything
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Anne Frank, Socrates, Benjamin Franklin
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: My mother, some of my closest friends, Audrey Hepburn, Daul Kim, Madonna
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: Elizabeth Bennet, Cassandra Mortmain, Celine, Al, and Faye Wong's character in Chungking Express
Your favorite painter?: I really like Alfred Stevens, I found today. I like some Turners... I really don't know anything about art. Oh of course CHAGALL !!
Your favorite musician?: Ohgod. Um, currently Beach House.
The quality you most admire in a man?: Intelligence, kindness, creativity, gumption
The quality you most admire in a woman?: Pretty much the same things
Your favorite virtue?: Empathy, generosity
Your favorite occupation?: Reading, running when I'm into it, listening to music late at night when everyone else is asleep
Who would you have liked to be?: I don' t know. I really can't answer that.. I guess myself, as a child, happy.
Your most marked characteristic?: A need to be liked and appreciated.
What do you most value in your friends?: Honesty, reliability, understanding, similar tastes hopefully
What is your principle defect?: Being in denial, an inability to be direct with others, depressive tendencies.

What natural gift would you most like to possess?: The ability to fall asleep at will anywhere, anytime; charm
How would you like to die?: Loved and at peace.
What is your present state of mind?: Wishing I could stop coughing, and growing anxious about this paper I have to write and the reading I have to do.
What is your motto?: Don't have any at the moment, other than a vague mindset of "one day at a time"
