Misunderstanding & unchangeability. Love like soldiers, entrenched. Hate like ice.

Freedom of spirit. Creativity. Sunlight and paper and coffee. Love. Water. Places to travel.

Rich foods, wine, and naps with my puppy.

Tina Fey, my grandmother, a woman with Dot Hooper's odd sense of humor.

The torn and healed, the pure and unpure, the comedienne in dirty shoes, the woman who has misplaced part of herself in a house or a man or a child, en medias res. Hope after the beautiful things are destroyed.

A man. I love being a woman, but I think I would've liked to have balls. Actual balls.

A dark, dry sense of humor.

Consistency.

Belief in the goodness of other people. This is a failing. People are generally malignant assholes.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Conforming to the ideals of those around me.
What would you like to be?
Free. Free of judgment, of restraint, of debt, of everything. I want to run naked in a damn field of wildflowers and not give one fuck for anything.
What is your favorite color?
Orange.
What is your favorite flower?
Something highly scented, a creeper. A drowsy-headed rose bush, frizzled by the sun and bees. Something invading a wall or slowly cracking the weakest boards of a fence. A beautiful thing that clings, despite the environment.

The crow. Why can't a crow be beautiful? First, it's the encroaching on picnic space....

Eh. I don't read poetry much anymore.
