What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: To be alone and fail at everything you hold dear.
Where would you like to live?: Someplace that is near people but also offers seclusion; also near a forest
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: A person to love and share life with, a job I love doing, a few close friends, and many, many books
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: To laziness and to staying in my comfort zone
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: Those who persist no matter what if it is for a good cause or for someone you love, who suffer graciously, who accept what cannot be changed and move on but who will tear you a new one if you deserved it
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Nellie Bly was a pretty neat lady; Isambard Kingdom Brunel
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: Any woman I know who is intelligent and persistent in pursuing her ambitions
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: The criteria is the same for heroines as it is for heroes

The quality you most admire in a man?: Intelligence, geekiness, talent, compassion

Who would you have liked to be?: A gentleman adventurer and explorer most likely

What is it you most dislike?: People who use and abuse others

What natural gift would you most like to possess?: A little more charisma, perhaps
How would you like to die?: Very, very old, but sound of mind and body, after a full life that has left me with a minimum of regrets
What is your present state of mind?: Calm, mostly, with just a tiny bit of me anxious about procrastination
