- What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
- Losing everything, including the person you used to be, and having to face that every day.
- Where would you like to live?
- Right here - I love my home - but I would like to live here without having had the accident.
- What is your idea of earthly happiness?
- A happy, healthy family and being married to the man of my dreams. Being proud of who I am and helping people.
- To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
- Temptation. I am powerless against it.
- Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
- Those who are flawed, but do heroic feats despite their weaknesses.
- Who are your favorite characters in history?
- Florence Nightingale - I always knew I wanted to be a nurse; she was my first hero.

- Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
- Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She is flawed, but is strong, and is 110% herself, no apologies.

- Monet

- Rick Springfield. I have loved him since I was a teenager.
- The quality you most admire in a man?
- Besides being alive? Loyalty and commitment to his family. Someone who is lighthearted and sexy, but hardworking and intelligent.

- Confidence

- It used to be compassion; I guess now it would have to be determination.
- Your favorite occupation?
- Being a mom: taking care of my kids, cheering for them, advocating for them, being involved in their lives. They are everything to me.
- Who would you have liked to be?
- How about what I would like to NOT be: I would like to NOT be an addict. I did not choose this - fate chose this for me. I would give anything to be who I was two years ago.
- Your most marked characteristic?
- It's so different now than what it was before. Before, it would be loving & compassionate. Now it would be..unreliable? Struggling?
- What do you most value in your friends?
- If I had any friends, I would value their loyalty. I understand that they don't want to associate with me now, but do you think even ONE would care enough to help me?
- What is your principle defect?
- My addiction.
- What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
- I've lived it. Losing my husband, my career, my life as it was before, my self-respect. Also seeing the disappointment, love, and loyalty in my kids' eyes.

- Sober

- Green

- I used to like Nicholas Sparks, but now I have enough to cry about without torturing myself with his stories.

- Edgar Allan Poe. He knows about loss.

- My husband was my hero, but he's gone. I don't know of anyone right now who can save me, so I'm not sure if heroes exist anymore.

- Florence Nightingale and Clara Barton

- The names of my children: Jack, Hope, Skye, and Toby... and of my husband, John.

- This hell I'm in right now: wanting to be clean, but I'm my own worst enemy.

- Hitler

- I don't there is anything admirable in military history.

- Will power

- Clean. And old, surrounded by my beautiful family.

- I feel like I'm two people: Me, and the person who took over after the accident.
