- Sandy Stern, the attorney who defended Rusty Sabich in the book Presumed Innocent. Read it in high school. That's when I knew I wanted to be a lawyer. All those dirty characters. The only innocent one was Sandy.

- Robert Kardashian. The most blatantly guilty celebrity in modern times, OJ Simpson, was acquitted, all because of Robert Kardashian.
- Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
- Sotomayor, Ginsburg, Kagan and, of course, O'Connor.
- Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
- Erin Brokovich. Oh wait, she's a real person. I don't have time for reading fiction anymore.

- David, down at Sherwin Williams. He painted my entire apartment before I moved in. Gave me a good deal.

- Eddie Vedder. Love him.

- Ambition.

- I hate it when people call me Luce. Tacky.

- Being the firm's law clerk. If they will give me a chance, I will blow their socks off.

- Corrupt judges. Mark Ciavarella tops my list. You don't mess with kids' lives like he did.

- The Gettysburg Address. Probably the most powerful closing argument in history.
