What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
To be alone. Physically or emotionally. Or both.
Where would you like to live?
Physical position doesn't matter to me. Home, i guess. I want a home.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
To live with someone I love and where that love is reciprocal.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
Complacency, laziness, and procrastination. I feel they may have soiled a large portion of my young adult life.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
Roland, and his journey to the Dark Tower. Also, Meg Murry, Charles Wallace Murry, and Calvin O'Keefe and their journey through the universe in "A Wrinkle in Time".
Who are your favorite characters in history?
Friedrich Neecha, Jeanne d'Arc, Winston Churchill. Martyrs for science.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
My mother for choosing to live and love me through her chaotic life.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
Women who are witty, elegant, and passionate. Juliet, Detta Walker, and Meg Murry.
Your favorite painter?
My grandfather. I'll miss him for the rest of my life.
Your favorite musician?
There are too many and I am much too fickle.
The quality you most admire in a man?
Intelligence, wit, logical charisma.
The quality you most admire in a woman?
Proust had it down. Gentleness, naturalness, intelligence. Elegance as well.
Your favorite virtue?
That is a question that is too large for me. I can't pick a single virtue. I feel they are incomplete without one another.
Your favorite occupation?
Art in all forms.
Who would you have liked to be?
I would not like to be anyone else. Ever.
Your most marked characteristic?
The insatiable need for affection. The desire to be loved.
What do you most value in your friends?
Wow. Tenderness - provided they possess a physical charm which makes their tenderness worth having. Perfect.
What is your principle defect?
Procrastination. The inability to motivate myself without pain or pressure.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
To never have another chance with the object of my love and affection.
What would you like to be?
God that is so perfect Proust. Myself - as those whom I admire would like me to be. As long as I am happy as well.
What is your favorite color?
I've always loved greens and blues.
What is your favorite flower?
The kind that make her happy.
What is your favorite bird?
The eagle.

My mother, friends (few), realists.

What is it you most dislike?
The negative cycles I perpetuate at my own peril.
What historical figures do you most despise?
Those who have caused discomfort or death out of irrationality, fear, or lust for power.
What event in military history do you most admire?
I know that if there is another war of great magnitude and the French do not surrender; that will be it.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
Will power, charisma, and irresistible charm.
How would you like to die?
I wouldn't. Since I must answer though, only when I feel I'm ready. I don't know how, when, or if I'll know but that is my only answer.
What is your present state of mind?
Change. For myself and the ones I love.

I am a struggling 21 year old musician/ procrastinator. These questions have proved eye opening and enlightening. I am in debt to Proust for his honesty and clarity when answering.
