What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Being depressed and sad
Where would you like to live?
Inside myself--seriously, anywhere. A person makes his/her own happiness. I just want to live well and to always be independent.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
Good friends, good books, amazing Nature and the great outdoors, healthy food, good wine, COLD beer!
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
Giving in to my perpetual curiosity about anything and everything
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
Underdogs . . .
Who are your favorite characters in history?
Socrates (honestly!), Crazy Horse, Gandhiji (as my friends in India are quick to point out, he was faulty BUT as I say, he took the concept of civil disobedience and really effected change), Winston Churchill (a true asshole but so brilliant with language)
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
Elouise Cobell and any ordinary woman who goes to extraordinary means to make things happen

Underdogettes . . .
Your favorite painter?
My Aunt (she is an artist and quite good . . .)--works by undiscovered geniuses, and for a known painter, Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci--a true artistic wit

Andrés Segovia, Arselan Kamkar, the late, great Frank Zappa's kick-ass jazz guitar, JIMMY PAGE, others . . .
The quality you most admire in a man?
A nice bum, compassion and empathy with others (not me, just people in general)

Courage in the face of life's challenges

Almost everything I've done excluding law (teaching, writing, editing, designing and making jewellery, life coaching, etc . . .)

Myself . . . I cannot change this so I do not entertain the thought

Sense of humour, possibly covering pain (at times)

Honesty . . . a friend must be honest
What is your principle defect?
I am getting older . . . I cannot change this, therefore I am defective :P

To not try something and find out for myself . . .

Myself . . . because that is what I am

Colour for what? It depends.
What is your favorite flower?
The Calla lily . . . a perfect flower in an imperfect world

Eagle and what he represents--I believe Eagle represents the power of Great Spirit (God) and other wonderful, powerful things . . .
Who are your favorite prose writers?
Mark Twain . . . he must have been a fun and witty dude to be around!
Who are your favorite poets?
it so depends on my mood . . . Dylan Thomas, Allen Ginsberg, Sylvia Plath . . . the usual tragic people
Who are your heroes in real life?
My father (78 years old, still works and works out 2-3 times a week). If I am a good person in any way, it is because of my father and his sage advice throughout my life.
Who are your favorite heroines of history?
Cleopatra? Proust answered with this? OMG Cleopatra was a self-obsessed slut. Oh well . . . my answer: Cleopatra!
What are your favorite names?
Sam (my late hero dog). For me, it doesn't matter, just don't call me a bitch. EVER!
What is it you most dislike?
Mean people and myself when I'm mean to others. I try not to be but I'm imperfect.
What historical figures do you most despise?
Christopher Columbus, George Armstrong Custer, Theodor Herzl, Adolf Hitler . . . anyone who sought (or seeks) to deprive any others of human rights
What event in military history do you most admire?
the end of any war . . . and there is never a winner
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
A better gift of gab
How would you like to die?
Suddenly . . . I don't want to know it's happening. I'm too much of a coward. Still, why do I keep doing dangerous things? The thrill of NOT DYING?
What is your present state of mind?
Overwhelmed trying to work for three companies (two are mine) and get settled in India.
What is your motto?
Do unto others . . . it IS cliché but so, so true. Treat others as you wish to be treated--be NICE! I'm not perfect as I must remind myself of this sometimes . . .
