What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
To know that I made mistakes, however trivial, that harmed people, and that these errors cannot be rectified.
Where would you like to live?
In the pristine forested mountains as a shepherd or farmer somewhere with simple, traditional people; perhaps in Georgia (Kavkasus), Bulgaria, Siberia, or Alaska.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
To have of an abundance of nourishing material - food for the body, books/art for the spiritual - to share with others.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
Being either too particular or too careless.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
Those who are not weak/sick/cowardly but who are good/moral.
Who are your favorite characters in history?
Diogenes "the Dog"
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
Amy Goodman.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
Those who are meek and mild but also have a surprising intelligence andmind of their own and screw things up badly for the villains
Your favorite painter?
I like the Symbolists and W Blake.
Your favorite musician?
Bob Dylan, Beethoven, & Bach.
The quality you most admire in a man?
Courage and intelligence - more trivially, lots of wit, frankness, and a kind of cheerful pessimism that is exhibited by those who know that the world is falliing to shit because of war, stupidity, and greed but live contently with humor.
The quality you most admire in a woman?
Confidence in her own life & values, moral sensitivity, and toughness/lack of vanity.
Your favorite virtue?
Courage or Compassion
Your favorite occupation?
Games of skill that don't make you think too hard, like ping pong. So fucking addicting.
Who would you have liked to be?
A naturalist or translator of literature.
Your most marked characteristic?
Having an interesting opinion or take on any subject.
What do you most value in your friends?
Creativity and decent morality.
What is your principle defect?
Inconsistency or forgetfulness.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
To be without friends and have the government after me!

Self-sufficient but generous as hell. This is kinda possible, I think.

Green.

Roses.

Raven/crow.

Dostoyevsky. Kafka, and Steinbeck.
Who are your favorite poets?
I don't like poetry, but maybe WH Auden.
Who are your heroes in real life?
They've all died recently, I think.

Unfortunately, females haven't featured much in Western history. So I don't know of any.
What are your favorite names?
I tend like Greek names like Theodor or Alex.
What is it you most dislike?
Hypocrisy. Especially in evil old bastards in positions of authority who judge other people to keep them afraid/submissive.
What historical figures do you most despise?
Alexander Hamilton comes to mind.
What event in military history do you most admire?
I have no idea.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
Quicker thinking! To process things fast and be ready to react and reply...
How would you like to die?
A devastating disease/injury after being over-worked as a poor old bugger. I'll go out somewhere and shoot myself.
What is your present state of mind?
Tiredness.
