What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
I think most people are miserable. The ones who aren't just haven't stopped to think about it.
Where would you like to live?
If I'm somewhere full of people, somewhere isolated. If I'm somewhere isolated, somewhere full of people. Like the cat that just loves using the door.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
Earthly? Just to be out of our own heads for a while.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
Being aware of my own faults. Making faults out of normal quirks, just so I can feel like I have more faults.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
Wile E. Coyote. An antihero, warning us against hubris.

Alexander the Great, Sequoia, Indira Gandhi
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
I wish I could have known the women in my family.

The quality you most admire in a man?
Being like 25 pounds overweight. It's the simple things.

Not giving a good god damn about what I- or anyone else- admires in women.
Your favorite virtue?
Fortitude. I just like the thought of taking stubbornness and making a cardinal virtue out of it. But that's human nature, right?

I've always been an artist. I'll always be an artist.
Who would you have liked to be?
Someone a little more successful or a little less motivated.

I look tired. Thanks for noticing.

I wish I even knew.

I prefer not to think about it too much.

Superlatives. How can I know that. This is all relative to people. What destroys me may mildly irritate you.

Just free. Happy for more than a minute.

The gray-green of a faded black t-shirt you still own from high school.

The corpse flower. Just kidding. My mother had a gardenia bush. The smell of a gardenia still hits me behind the eyes. It's a sad sort of favorite. I would never plant one.

The Seagull. The creature and the play.

I don't really read as much as I'd like.
Who are your favorite poets?
I do read as much poetry as I'd like. None.
Who are your heroes in real life?
I'm gonna have to pass on this one.

Have you heard of Henrietta Lacks. It's crazy what we do to people, man, but you owe her.

What is it you most dislike?
This is where I pretend to be more cynical than I am.
What historical figures do you most despise?
The usual ones. Mass murderers, etc. Also, the Emperor Constantine. Thanks for the Dark Ages.

Not really a field to merit much admiration, man.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
If I were a little shorter I could still fit in the back of a Camero. If I were a little taller I could join the circus.
How would you like to die?
In my sleep, with no one to miss me when I'm gone. I don't say that out of self pity, but it's a hell of a lot easier to leave than to be left behind. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
What is your present state of mind?
Mounting agitation.
