What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: To be completely without anyone.
Where would you like to live?: Based on my incredibly limited knowledge of the world, the Massachusetts Berkshires.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: To be entirely content and without desire.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: Laziness.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: I don't really read many works with heroes.
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Aaron Burr, Tecumseh and Friedrich von Steuben.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: I suppose I don't approve of hero worship.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: Again, no heroic works.
Your favorite painter?: Edvard Munch.
Your favorite musician?: Tom Waits.
The quality you most admire in a man?: Modesty, amiability, moral sense, gregariousness.
The quality you most admire in a woman?: Independence, wittiness, moral sense and, of course, beauty.
Your favorite virtue?: Compassion.
Your favorite occupation?: Garbage man.
Who would you have liked to be?: It would've been pretty damn fun to be Alfred Jarry.
Your most marked characteristic?: Neurosis, coarseness, obsession.
What do you most value in your friends?: Empathy.
What is your principle defect?: Laziness and fixation.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?: A life wasted.
What would you like to be?: Nothing but myself.
What is your favorite color?: I've never decided on one.
What is your favorite flower?: Queen Anne's Lace.
What is your favorite bird?: Lovebirds.
Who are your favorite prose writers?: Franz Kafka and James Joyce.

Who are your heroes in real life?: I don't condone idolatry.
Who are your favorite heroines of history?: Again, I don't practice hero worship.
What are your favorite names?: Harvey and Charlotte. Unfortunately they're reserved for Australians and whores, respectively.
What is it you most dislike?: Ignorance.
What historical figures do you most despise?: None of them really did anything to harm me. So none.
What event in military history do you most admire?: V-J Day.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?: Flight.
How would you like to die?: After college and once the pain outweighs the pleasure.
What is your present state of mind?: Boredom and loneliness.
What is your motto?: Codas bastardize thought. That's not my motto, it's why I don't have one. :)
