What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
To be completely alone, left with nothing but your own thoughts.
Where would you like to live?
In the mountains, surrounded by natural beauty.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?
To have a life filled with laughter and happiness, sharing it with the woman I love.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
The desire for knowledge and the desire to throw myself into fictional worlds.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?
Gollum and Sauron from Lord of the Rings. Those who had benevolent desires, which were ripped away from them.
Who are your favorite characters in history?
Those nameless people who made radical changes in their lives, so we could have the world we live in today.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?
My amazing girlfriend, who is incredibly beautiful, amazingly intelligent, and everything I have ever wanted in a woman.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.
Your favorite painter?
The artists I love are the ones who do not feel as though their names are necessary. Local painters, who share their work for the love, rather than the pay.
Your favorite musician?
Buskers. Once again, those who live in anonymity.
The quality you most admire in a man?
Intelligence and the ability to be humble.
The quality you most admire in a woman?
Intelligence and the ability to be humble.
Your favorite virtue?
Honesty.
Your favorite occupation?
Writing. To write for a living and live vicariously through my characters.
Who would you have liked to be?
If I were someone else, then I would not be myself. I have no desire to change who I am, for I would not be me. That would be a sad life, indeed.
Your most marked characteristic?
A desire to be acknowledged and appreciated.
What do you most value in your friends?
Empathy.
What is your principle defect?
Honestly, my will is weak with most things. I have a tendency to indulge in things I shouldn't. Also, I am rather thin-skinned.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
To be deaf and to be blind. The inability to hear music or read words would be a life not worth living.
What would you like to be?
Myself, as my dog sees me.
What is your favorite color?
Royal purple.
What is your favorite flower?
Black Dahlia or Calla Lily.
What is your favorite bird?
Vultures are amazing animals. They care not what others think of them, instead accepting their place in life.
Who are your favorite prose writers?
Jonathon Kellerman and Stephen King are my favorites of all time. As far as recently, I have started reading authors that are local to me.
Who are your favorite poets?
I have no real appreciation for poetry in itself, however if you count lyrics, I would have to go with Dani Filth, Zack de la Rocha, Mr. Lordi, and Dave Brockie.
Who are your heroes in real life?
Theodore Darrow. The man has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I am also very envious of people like Rob Zombie, who are living their dreams.
Who are your favorite heroines of history?
Elita One from the Transformers. I know she's fictional, but she put up with a lot of crap over the years.
What are your favorite names?
Names aren't all that interesting. They're just labels.
What is it you most dislike?
Idiocy.
What historical figures do you most despise?
The generic answer here is Hitler. But, I am going to go with the general political climate holding on to old ideals and restraining the rights of the masses for their own religious agenda.
What event in military history do you most admire?
Taking things by force should never be applauded in the manner which people believe it should.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
Charm. Willpower. The ability to convey my thoughts in a coherent manner.
How would you like to die?
In the arms of the woman I love, sharing our last moments together.
What is your present state of mind?
I am eager to find out about my PhD application, but other than that I would like to think I'm calm and relaxed.
