What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: to never feel safe or know where your next meal will come from
Where would you like to live?: near the water, preferably the ocean where I live now.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: to feel safe, loved and enjoy the simple things that life has to offer
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: eating too many sweets at a time; no will power grrrrr
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: John Galt and Atticus Finch where one stands up for his beliefs no matter what the consequences; King Arthur and Odysseus
Who are your favorite characters in history?: those who advanced a nation (but not due to war) and made life better for their fellow man
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: I think most good, caring and loving mothers are heroines; one who sacrifice for the betterment of their children
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: I adore Kate from Taming of the Shrew; Antigone
Your favorite painter?: vermeer
Your favorite musician?: Mozart, Buddy Rich, Joshua Bell, and Jethro Tull ;-)
The quality you most admire in a man?: integrity, empathy, intelligence and masculinity
The quality you most admire in a woman?: integrity, compassion, intelligence and femininity
Your favorite virtue?: leaning towards honesty....but so many touch each other in some way.
Your favorite occupation?: teaching and seeing the excitement of discovery on students' faces
Who would you have liked to be?: I don't know exactly whom, but a woman with more courage than I have.
Your most marked characteristic?: bluntness
What do you most value in your friends?: that they listen and are there when I need them
What is your principle defect?: indecisiveness at times
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?: to have lost one of my children
What would you like to be?: Me but smarter and one who can deal with crises better
What is your favorite color?: It depend; for wearing, black and green; for decorating blue and yellow

Who are your favorite poets?: Shakespeare, ee cummings and more, but I just cannot think of them
Who are your heroes in real life?: those who sacrifice their lives to either help or save others without thinking of themselves
Who are your favorite heroines of history?: JFK, Jefferson, Franklin (and even with their personal flaws)
What are your favorite names?: Male: Nikola, Alexandar Female: Katherine (Katie or Kate)
What is it you most dislike?: apathy, proud ignorance
What historical figures do you most despise?: any who killed/tortured innocent people to gain power
What event in military history do you most admire?: D Day
What natural gift would you most like to possess?: I am with Proust here...
How would you like to die?: knowing I have helped changed some lives; and IN MY SLEEP before I get to be a burden....
What is your present state of mind?: Relaxed yet antsy as I just retired as I can't wait to begin the next passage of my life.
